who will lead me home -a pantoum

i try to be brave and shining
a lighthouse for others to see
to shine light through lifes’ fog
from darkness that hides hope from view

a lighthouse for others to see
that beacon of light in the dark
from darkness that hides hope from view
for those bobbing lost in confusion

that beacon of light in the dark
that shines on the water of doubt
for those bobbing lost in confusion
fighting loss feelings forlorn

that shines on the water of doubt
shimmering incandescently
          fighting loss feelings forlorn
piercing the veil of despair

          shimmering incandescently
with a rainbows hope and rapture
          piercing the veil of despair
for one drowning in turmoil-a rope

with a rainbows hope and rapture
a road to dreams unrealized
for one drowning in turmoil-a rope
of a future there to be grasped

          a road to dreams unrealized
a new chapter to be written
of a future there to be grasped
of what is meant to be

a new chapter to be written
a new road to be journeyed
of what is meant to be
but who’s there to lead me home

a new road to be journeyed
to a destination unknown
but who’s there to lead me home
when that beacon is fiercely needed

          to a destination unknown
i try to be brave and shining
when that beacon is fiercely needed
to shine light through lifes’ fog…
